Rejected petition Remove the £30 yearly fee that social care workers must pay to register with Social Care Wales

If you want to work as carer/ social care worker in Wales, you must pay for the "privilege" to do so by registering with Social Care Wales. In an industry that is on its knees, crying out for workers, this barrier to entry is beyond comprehension. It is understandable that there should be a body in place to help professionalise the sector and hold people to account, but this should be government funded. Low paid social care workers cannot afford this additional tax on their income.
