Petition Make enhanced DBS checks compulsory for all Town Councils and Councillors throughout Wales
Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is paramount and there are gaps in checking individuals. Most organisations check their employees and volunteers however some Town Councils and Councils don't as it is not a requirement . This should be mandatory to cover the public and Councils as councillors sometimes have to enter people’s homes and also run events.
