Rejected petition Hold a referendum on building the M4 Relief Road.

The Welsh Government has decided that the M4 Relief Road should not be built.

However, the issue of major importance to people of Newport, and the people of the city should be allowed to have their say via referendum.

Back in 2021, Newport City Council supported a motion which included the possibility of a referendum being had on the issue.

It is now time for that referendum to come about.
