Rejected petition Review NPTCBC rejection of renewing the damaged road of 25-32 and 35-38 Lletty Harri SA132ES

Since contacting Neath Port Talbot Council regarding the poor condition of the road, we have yet to see improvements to the council owned road leading to our properties.

As constituents of Neath Port Talbot, and residents of Lletty Harri, we call upon the Senedd to review the councils decision to reject the works needed, and to support this matter of urgency we have long called for - to ensure that our roads meet acceptable standards, and are safe to use.

More details

On 7th March we carried out a local petition whereby all residents who are affected by the road signed.

Our petition was passed through Neath Port Talbot Councils petition scheme in March 2024 and has since been rejected by the head of street-care, leaving us residents silenced, with a road that is devaluating our properties, is unsafe and does not meet a satisfactory level standard that we expect to experience as residents.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the Senedd or Welsh Government is not responsible for.

This is a matter for the local authority.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
