Rejected petition Help Get ysgol heol Goffa the new specialist school they deserve and mostly NEED!
Carmarthenshire county council agreed numerous years ago to build ysgol heol goffa a brand new specialist school they they desperately need , due to the current building no longer being suitable or big enough to accommodate pupils . Carmarthenshire council have now pulled the plug on all plans to build the school due to “financial hardship” yet other schools in Llanelli have had new schools built for them!
More details
Carmarthen have claimed they basically don’t have the funds for the new build , yet they’ve already provided numerous new schools within the county and they are also building a brand new wellness complex, to which the school was meant to be part of! They have now caused suffering to current pupils and also the suffering of future pupils now having the struggle of ever being able to access heol goffa, as they are over capacity and the structure and size of the building is just no longer suitable , there is high demand for pupils needing the additional support and the county have NOT taken the pupils well being into consideration! We need them to retract their statement and to prioritise our children and their education and children’s services that they solely need!
