Rejected petition Create a Portal in Cardiff

Some may have seen the amazing portals appear around the world, and I would love for us to have one in Wales. The 'Portals' are large monitor screens that are set up in public settings and work to connect two seperate locations together.
Passer-bys can wave to each other from half a world a way. Most recently a portal was created connecting Ireland's Dublin City to America's own New York.
This would be an amazing opportunity for us Welsh to come together have a dance & share our culture.

More details

There are plenty of prime locations in Cardiff town centre the portal could be setup to maximise the number of people able to view it.
And there are many places around the world I could suggest we connect with, such as our welsh speaking colony in Argentina, our lovely Polish friends, or our australian friends down under.

The big decisions on this are for our senedd to decide, but I wholeheartedly love the idea.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the Senedd or Welsh Government is not responsible for.

The Portals website talks about working with municipalities, so this would primarily be a matter for the local authority (Cardiff Council). https://www.portals.org/host-a-portal

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
