Rejected petition Call an early Senedd Election now Vaughan Gethin has resigned and let the people of Wales decide!

Regardless your political views an early Senedd Election is needed to let the people of Wales decide who should run the country and vote for who they want as first minister, not elected by in party voting.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.

There are currently two petitions collecting signatures on this theme:

Call for an early Senedd election.

An automatic general election if the party in government changes their leader and therefore First Minister mid-term.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
