Rejected petition Give 16-17 year olds the right to vote in local government elections

In Wales, 16-17 year olds have the right to vote in Senedd elections. They can have a say on who runs the country, education services, Healthcare services and more. So, why can't they vote in local government elections? 16-17 year olds can have kids, can get a job, you can rent a house, can move out, can apply for legal aid and more. Therefore, local governments are important to 16-17 year olds. Giving 16-17 year olds this right would be an excellent step in our countries developement.
