Rejected petition Add mandatory media literacy lessons to mainstream education.
We live in an information age with vast amounts of information available at any time from countless sources.
While this is remarkable, it also enables the spread of media from biased or bad faith actors. Thus, media literacy is no longer optional; it is essential for everyone. The ability to analyse and critique media is crucial in discerning credible sources and navigating misinformation. Media literacy empowers informed engagement with the world, we have a duty to facilitate that in Wales.
