Rejected petition Be able to request a baby loss certificate in Wales. Where a loss is before 24 weeks.

I am starting this petition to allow parents in Wales to obtain a certificate when they lose their babies prior to 24 weeks.
It is a compassionate initiative aimed at recognizing the profound grief and loss experienced by families who endure a miscarriage
I myself suffered a loss in 2022 other than the dreaded words of"I'm sorry there is no heartbeat" there was no recognition of my baby ever existing, it was a difficult time but having some sort of recognition for myself and others will help

More details

Currently in many places, formal recognition through a certificate is only provided for losses occurring after 24 weeks of pregnancy
This can leave parents who suffer early miscarriages feeling isolated and without validation of their loss
By granting a certificate, the petition seeks to acknowledge the emotional significance of these early losses, providing parents with a tangible form of recognition and closure
Experiencing a miscarriage without having closure can be an incredibly difficult and emotional journey for both parents.
The loss of a pregnancy often brings with it a unique form of grief, one that can feel isolating and unresolved.
Unlike other types of loss, a miscarriage can sometimes leave individuals grappling with unanswered questions.
The emotional impact can be profound,as the hopes and dreams for the future suddenly shift, leaving an irreplaceable void
This change can help alleviate emotional distress and offer a sense of acknowledgement and remembrance for their child
