Rejected petition Build the Newport M4 relief road

The current philosophy is around using public transport, park and ride and cycling to resolve the issue. This strategy doesn't acknowledge the fact that most of the volume of traffic is moving through the area down the M4. This strategy is highly unlikely to resolve the issue.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
