Rejected petition Remove planning permission for Air Source Heat Pumps by making them permitted developments

In Wales, Air Source Heat Pumps require planning permission if they are situated 3 metres or less from a boundary. In England, they are considered permitted developments if sited 1 metre or more from a boundary. Heat pumps are essential in decarbonising home heating. Welsh law punishes those in terraced and semi detached housing by making them pay for planning permission and risking the planning being rejected. I propose the law be aligned with England to make Heat Pumps a permitted development.
