Rejected petition Allow Welsh Baccalaureate to be an optional course for further education students.

Welsh Baccalaureate is a compulsory subject in many sixth forms, colleges, and other sources of further education. Further education should be subjects and courses that the students themselves choose, as they have chosen to stay in education and should be given the choice of what they study.

More details

The Welsh Government should amend its guidance to schools so that all pupils can choose whether or not to study the Welsh BAC. Too many schools and colleges in Wales are not letting pupils choose.
