Rejected petition Make the Senedd's Calendar Easier to Understand - Making Welsh Politics More Accessible

The Senedd's calendar may be difficult to understand for some, when looking at what items come under Plenary, there are references to standing orders and many links to different pages for a single item. If you're new to politics, understanding all this information and trying to gain a more informed view of Welsh politics may feel daunting.

The Senedd should update and redesign this webpage in a more accessible and understandable format, such as the UK Parliament's calendar.

Senedd Calendar Website: https://business.senedd.wales/mgCalendarWeekView.aspx?M=11&WN=47&CID=0&OT=&C=-1&MR=0&DL=0&ACT=Later&DD=2024

The Senedd calendar includes events throughout the week, but the event for the sitting of the Senedd, debating of legislation, and votes comes under Plenary. The items under Plenary use terms and language that may be confusing and hard to understand without prior experience.

UK Parliament Calendar Website: https://whatson.parliament.uk/commons/2024-11-26/

In contrast to the Senedd's calendar, the UK Parliament calendar is much more accessible and nicely designed. It splits out the business of the House of Commons, House of Lords, and Committees.

The business of the House of Commons explicitly details Ten Minute Rule Bills (legislation that backbenchers would like to introduce and debate), Private Member's Bills, Oral Questions to Government Ministers, and Legislation, along with concise links to any proposed bills, explanatory notes, and amendments.
