Rejected petition Make it mandatory for meat/dairy products to be labelled if Bovaer is used in cow feed.

We as conscious consumers in Wales, find the Bovaer controversy most troubling. Arla has made public of their involvement in a trial, and that all of their non-organic cows will have been fed Bovaer. Consumers can clearly see which are Arla's products, and which are not. The issue is, Arla controls 40% of the entire milk industry and supply meat, milk and dairy to the majority of major supermarkets. Consumers are therefore 'in the dark' about which supermarkets own brands are Arla-supplied.

More details

Consumers in Wales should be made aware of such cow feed additives, so they can make an informed choice, whether or not to buy Arla products via supermarkets own labelling.
