Rejected petition Raise the income threshold for the School Essentials Grant to a realistic income!

Universal Credit encouraging single parent families to be working and earning on or over £892 per month. Consequently, the £7,400 or under threshold to be entitled to the Welsh Government’s School Essentials Grant is far too low! Single parents and families that have one working parent are in the same situation as those who do not work. It is a struggle to find money for new uniform each year, especially if you have multiple children. With food, gas and electric and everyday essentials being significantly more expensive.
