Rejected petition Stop extra AMs being elected to Senedd
It will cost far too much, and with a small population , do not need them , at most we should have 74, to be the same as Scotland
More details
Scotland has a population of 5439842 with 120 member equating to one member to 42,169 people. To have the same in Wales 74 members would bring in the same . Therefore having an extra 16 is not feasible . That does not take in the extra cost and probably a new venue .
