Rejected petition Save Megaphobia! Relocate and reconstruct Megaphobia at St Fagans National Museum of History.
Megaphobia is one of the most iconic and globally recognised structures in Welsh history. It seems insulting to it's legacy and the iconography of South Wales if it left to decay now that Oakwood Theme Park as closed.
Megaphobia should be dismantled and rebuilt timber by timber at St Fagans National Museum of Wales as a representation of life in South Wales in the 20th/21st Century and give the people of Wales a dose of adrenaline fueled nostalgia.
More details
For many years Megaphobia was voted by Golden Ticket as one the 10 best wooden rollercoaster in the world and is beloved by people all over the globe.
Visitors numbers at St Fagans is still below pre-Covid levels, what better way to increase footfall than exciting new exhibits like the greatest wooden rollercoaster the UK has ever seen.
