More details

Traffic on Sandy Road is gridlocked almost daily, causing severe disruption for residents and commuters alike. Air pollution remains worryingly high, and over the years, there have been numerous crashes — many involving damage to parked cars and even residents’ homes. At night, the road is often used like a race track, further endangering lives. It feels like only a matter of time before a tragedy occurs. The only real solution is a long-overdue bypass.
Hundreds of new houses are planned for the area, yet there’s still no sign of any improvements to Llanelli’s strained infrastructure. Roads like Sandy Road are already overwhelmed with daily congestion, accidents, and pollution. Adding more homes without upgrading the transport network will only make things worse. A bypass isn’t just needed — it’s urgently overdue to protect residents and support the town’s future growth.
