Rejected petition Providing sixth form or college students e-bikes to help them to get to school or college

Many students in Cardiff, and across Wales, face daily challenges getting to school or college due to a lack of affordable and reliable transportation. For some, public transport is expensive or infrequent, and others live in areas where walking long distances isn’t viable, especially in adverse weather conditions. This situation not only affects punctuality and academic performance but also impacts the overall well-being and independence of young people.

More details

We are calling on the Welsh Government to consider a pilot programme for subsidising or loaning e-bikes to students in need. The goal is to ensure that no student is held back by transportation challenges. By supporting this initiative, you can help create a more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable future for youth in Wales.
