Rejected petition Banning the excessively strict mobile phone enforcement in Welsh comprehensive schools.
Personally, this strict enforcement of phones in Welsh schools is close to useless. It can also be unsafe as a friend of mine once was seriously hurt after playing in a forest after school and had to limp home as he had no mobile phone to call his family or anyone else. Phones should be confiscated anyway if they are seen out in lessons so they never interfere with learning anyway. I think a more balanced, practical policy is needed to ensure safety and efficiency.
