Rejected petition Abolish mandatory Welsh for GSCE in English speaking schools in Wales
We believe Welsh should no longer be mandatory at GCSE in English-speaking schools. Most students don’t use Welsh in daily life, and valuable time could be better spent learning real-life skills like taxes, finance, and mental health. Welsh should be offered as an option, not forced on everyone. Education should reflect the real world and give students choice. It's time to reform the curriculum for a more relevant future.
