Rejected petition Change the planning law in Wales, to prevent delayed compliance
There have been multiple traveller sites arriving in Flintshire. All without planning permission. They have put in for retrospective planning permission but have been refused.
They are using the complexities of the current law to appeal the decision and stall any enforcement action.
I believe that to solve this problem we need to remove the right to appeal on planning cases seeking retrospective permission, and ensure that land is returned to its original condition within 6 months, once permission has been refused.
Why was this petition rejected?
It did not collect enough signatures to be referred to the Petitions Committee.
Petitions need to receive at least 250 signatures before they can be considered in the Senedd.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
