Rejected petition BAN FIREWORKS to protect our animals
Every single year millions of animals both pets and wildlife are traumatised and terrified and even suffer heart attacks by the barbaric sound of fireworks. Any animal lover knows how horrendous this time of year is, every single year. Fireworks should not be available to the general public. Something NEEDS to change!
More details
Fireworks cause stress, fear, injury, and even death in animals due to loud noises and bright flashes that overwhelm their sensitive hearing and vision. These effects range from domestic pets running away and getting injured in traffic to wildlife being startled, causing them to abandon nests or die from the stress. Furthermore, the smoke from fireworks can cause air pollution, and chemical components can contaminate water sources and harm animals through ingestion or inhalation.
