My son is a Welsh-speaking child with severe and complex needs, including autism, ARFID, Pica, and anxiety. There are no suitable local placements in North Wales, so he must go to England — far from his home, family, and language.
Many families face the same heartbreak. Children are being sent away due to a lack of specialist provision in Wales.
We call on the Welsh Government to:
• Create local placements for children with complex needs
• Develop and fund Welsh-medium specialist provision
No child should have to leave Wales or lose their language to get the help they need.
