Petition Accelerate expanded access to naloxone for homelessness outreach services in Wales
Record drug related deaths in 2024 and 2025 particularly from synthetic opioids like nitazenes make immediate access a matter of life and death.
Dedicated tier 2 outreach services like SAM recovery CIC currently face unnecessary hurdles to supply life saving naloxone for future use without a prescription.
More details
We call on the Welsh Government to immediately implement the proposed expansion of naloxone access for homelessness outreach services, hostels and day centres in Wales, bypassing the current delay in implementing the UK wide legislation until late 2026.
This petition has been put together by the following recovering addicts who through lived experience know the very life and death nature of what we are asking you to accelerate
