Rejected petition Put speed bumps in the village of Gwyddgrug- Pencader
We have lived in Gwyddgrug for less than a month and have already had our gate and fence crashed into by a speeding vehicle. Cars regularly travel through the village at 40–50 mph despite it being a clearly marked 20 mph zone.
These dangerous speeds put residents, children, pedestrians and pets at serious risk. We are asking the council to install speed bumps to reduce vehicle speeds and make our village safer for everyone.
More details
We should not have to fear for our safety simply by living in our own community. Introducing speed bumps would significantly reduce vehicle speeds, improve road safety, and help prevent further accidents, damage to property, and potential loss of life.
