Petition From 12 weeks pregnant, women should be able to use disabled parking to reduce pain.
When my wife was around 30 weeks pregnant, she began suffering from Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP), a condition that can cause significant pain and difficulty when walking. On several occasions when we visited places such as shops and restaurants, there were disabled parking spaces available close to the entrances. However, as pregnant women experiencing conditions like PGP are not eligible to use these spaces, my wife was forced to park further away and walk a considerable distance while in pain.
More details
Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) can be extremely uncomfortable and painful for women during pregnancy. Where possible, steps should be taken to reduce this unnecessary discomfort and make pregnancy more manageable and supportive for those experiencing it.
