Petition Make bus stop seating accessible
Bus stops in Wales tend to have lean bars - these are inaccessible people for under average height affecting children and elderly whom are more likely to be shorter.
What's the point of a bench-like object if people can't use it?
A place to wait, helps people with limited mobility access transport into town.
More details
I'm 4"11 and have to sit on the ground at the bus stop, rather than the lean bar which is above hip height.
This wouldn't be possible for someone my height but elderly.
Benches should be low enough to sit on, and not angled so people with joint problems can use them.
