Petition Assist in major changes to the parking issues at Wrexham Maelor Hospital NE Wales.

I would like this longstanding issue to be discussed by the Welsh Government and to make changes to prioritise the use of the carpark at the Maelor Hospital for patients, staff and visitors. It is a huge area, but is totally full before 9.00am. Patients are missing appointments. There needs to be barriers, a way for patients and visitors to perhaps use a QR scan on their appoinment letters and a reasonable fee to prevent non related hospital users free access.

More details

I have had personal experience of trying to park my car for appointments and have had to go into the town centre and pay to park in an empty council carpark and then walk 15 or 20 minutes back up to the hospital. I have arthritis and a heart condition and I think it is very selfish and disrespectful to expect everyone including pensioners and young families and to have to do this. It causes a lot of pain and stress.
Please help to improve this situation. It has been going on for years. Something must be done.
