Rejected petition Release the full costings of the new Welsh Government’s manifesto in the interest of transparency.
Plaid Cymru claimed before the election that their manifesto was fully costed. They have since entered government, and the new Deputy First Minister rowed back on this claim on television, saying “we haven’t started to plan out this work” when asked on the government’s childcare offer’s costings. The Senedd must force the government to release the full costings of all their plans in the name of democratic transparency, and to ensure proper and robust scrutiny of their spending commitments.

Why was this petition rejected?
We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition. We think your petition is covered by Government or Senedd action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.
The new Government's spending plans will be part of their published budget and will be scrutinised in detail once available.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
