Petition Urge the Senedd to strengthen Standing Orders and Guidance preventing hostility to protected groups.
We, the undersigned, call on the Senedd to strengthen Standing Orders and Guidance regarding protected groups.
Xenophobic language has become more prevalent during this Seventh Senedd.
We propose the wording to be as follows:
"A Member must not use language that demeans, vilifies, or incites hostility toward any group protected under the Equality Act 2010. The Llywydd may require the Member to withdraw such remarks or may rule the Member out of order."
