Rejected petition Carry out resurfacing of Station Road, Rogiet, Monmouthshire
Station Road in Rogiet, Monmouthshire is the only access road to Severn Tunnel Junction railway Station. It also provides access to residential properties, a School, an Industrial estate and recreational facilities.
It provides a link to M4 motorway and the Prince of Wales bridge for emergency service vehicles.
More details
The condition of Station Road has become unacceptable. The surface of the road has deteriorated, repairs to pot holes have created an uneven surface and only serve as a temporary fix as in heavy rain these repairs are washed out resulting in deep ruts and holes.
At peak commuter times traffic is heavy as Severn Tunnel Junction Railway Station serves as the main rail link for the surrounding areas. With extra rail services planned.
Steation Road is no longer fit for purpose and requires urgent resurfacing work.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the Senedd or Welsh Government is not responsible for.

You could consider contacting Monmouthshire Council or your local representatives about this matter instead.
