Rejected petition Send government alerts in the English language
On 14th August 2026 the people of Wales received a government mobile phone alert in Welsh. Most people didn’t know what the warning was. This puts the majority of people in Wales at risk in the event of an imminent threat.

All government emergency alerts should be sent in the language used by the majority of people in Wales - English!
There are times that the Welsh language needs to take a back seat especially when there are lives at risk.
