Petition Abolish the the Minimum Unit Price of alcohol in retailers

The Senedd has passed a law currently making the MUP for alcohol 50p.
This will rise to 65p on October 1st 2026.

A litre of any whisky currently costs a minimum of £20 in Wales (more than England). On October 1st this will rise to a minimum of £26, gin a minimum of £24.38, wine £8.45/litre.
All alcohol is and will be affected. The poorest in Welsh society suffer the most.
