Rejected petition Require the NHS in Wales to provide a same-day emergency medicine service (home visit or delivery)
On bank holidays most GPs and pharmacies close. Emergency supply is in person only. People who cannot travel due to disability, mental health or cost of transport go without medicine until the next working day. This one-size-fits-all rule disadvantages disabled people and can be indirect discrimination. Welsh Government should require a same-day home visit or delivery so access does not depend on being able to travel.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the Senedd or Welsh Government to do. Petitions need to call on the Senedd or Government to take a specific action.
