Rejected petition Fully instate Centre Assessed Grades for GCSE, AS, and A-Levels

The Education Minister has decided to describe the reduction of 42% of A and AS Centre Assessed Grades as "fair".

Awarded qualifications must be determined holistically, and teachers are in a best position to do this, not the exam board or an algorithm.

Students have futures and universities to go to. They cannot be treated as statistics to be made to fit a narrative, or to have their grades reduced without apparent rhyme or reason, or on factors out of their control.
