Rejected petition Award all A-Level students in Wales their predicted grades (Summer 2020)
A-Level grades this year have been heavily and unfairly influenced by last year’s AS results, and the grades predicted by teachers have been under valued. This is unfair. It penalises students whose attainment last year was unrepresentative of their ability. It also takes no account of any planned AS re-sits which were also cancelled. For example, schools were not asked to provide predicted grades for these specific exams, so students were denied the opportunity to improve their AS grades.
