Rejected petition Gyms to stay open as they're as essential as shops.

I want gyms to stay open as they are as essential as shops for people's mental health and also wellbeing.

More details

The amount of covid cases to amount from gyms within wales is next to nothing, more people have caught covid from a shop environment than a gym. The gyms are following guidelines with social distancing, mask wearing, hand sanitizer and also cleaning of equipment after use where as the shops everyone is going round touching everything which means you are more likely to catch covid at a supermarket compared to a gym and the supermarkets can remain open which doesn't make much sense at all.

The lockdowns are hard enough for people not being able to see family members and get on with their lives, so at least give us a bit more freedom of being able to go to the gym to ensure our health is better and mental state. The amount of people who have committed suicide within the last few months because of covid is at a fairly high number and this may have been prevented if someones mental health and wellbeing is better which a gym can assist with.
