Rejected petition Keep all gyms and leisure centres open if we go to tier 4 and into lockdown

During recent times many have used the gym and leisure centres to help with there physical health, people recovering from operations, people living with mobility issues are all benefitted from physical exercise. Many people use and need gyms and leisure centres to stay open for their mental health. Suicide rates have gone up since the start of the pandemic and exercise helps keep peoples mental health stable. Exercise all round helps with your physical, mental and emotional health.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
