Rejected petition Prioritise teaching and schools’ staff for the COVID vaccine to keep them safe in work.

Teaching and schools staff are frontline workers. They are sat in classrooms with children without masks. In primary school environments children do not need to wear masks at all. It is stated that children are often asymptomatic so the staff need more protection. It has been proven that schools are spreading this virus so the staff need protecting as much as possible. Further they are expected to look after key workers children during lockdowns. They are therefore being put at risk.

More details

There is already a main UK government petition asking for similar. We are asking the Welsh Assembly government to stop putting their teachers at risk and to equip them with the protection they need as you have NHS workers and care workers.
