Rejected petition Apply teacher predicted grades instead of the proposed assessments to determine GCSE grades.

Due to the third lockdown in Wales, that has adversely impacted learning, particularly for students who experience socioeconomic deprivation and/or additional learning needs. We propose that the Education Department utilise teacher predicted grades, instead of the proposed assessments to determine GCSE grades.

It is suggested, that the new assessment protocol are exams by another name and not fit for purpose.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
