Rejected petition Help family’s struggling with free school meals over the summer asap
I’m covid it was import to have the free school meals sent home as we where at home and needed to feed our children. ‘Ow food had tripled in price near quadruple the price as it was during covid and you’ve taken away the food that would’ve been helpful to family’s worse off.
Not only that but there is nothing in place at all for those families living to either have gas and electric or food for their children.

Meanwhile, Rocio Cifuentes, the Children's Commissioner for Wales, said whilst she recognises the "strain on the public purse, it’s a sad irony that shortly after publishing a draft Child Poverty Strategy the Welsh Government has announced a reduction in this critical support".
She added: "I am very worried about those children and how their families will manage over the summer, especially with living costs still incredibly high, particularly for food.
That’s one source, other sources are from around my town complaints that it helped immensely.
This is a total let down by our government and we strived to be the first to support our children when covid was bad, now prices are bad and we are cut lose. Apart from the cost of living by Westminster every 6 months the welsh government has let us down.
