There is a plan to increase the number of Senedd Members from the current 60 to 96 at an estimated to cost between £11.7m and £12.9m.
The Labour-run administration said it was £900m short in its £20bn budget than when it was set in 2021. First Minister Mark Drakeford has asked his ministers to find cuts in public services as inflation and public sector pay put the squeeze on Welsh government budgets. No department - including the NHS and education - has been ruled out.

Mark Drakeford recently announced £900m in cuts to all services including the NHS and Education because of a black hole in the finances which he blamed on the Westminster Government.
The plan to provide free meals during school holidays didn't go ahead.
The Government of Wales should be looking at savings within itself as well other savings.
This may be a relatively small amount in the overall picture but every little helps
