Rejected petition Welsh Baccalaureate Subject for Higher Education Pupils and how it should be Non-Compulsory

As a fellow Higher Education Student in Neath, I can say with full confidence that I have spent more time catching up with the massive tasks set out in Welsh Baccalaureate and taking my focus away from the subject I took out of interest.

Welsh Baccalaureate has its positives such as allowing students to get a taste of the workforce but having them write out pages and pages of 'Evidence' and doing a 'Personality Test' just seems like a waste of time which is of the essence when doing A Levels

More details

Having so much work included in this supposed A Level does not 'prepare students for the future'. Yes, it does allow students to have an advantage when applying to Universities and having an extra qualification makes them look good, but if students had Welsh Baccalaureate stripped away from their education then they could prioritise the more important subjects, leading to them getting better grades and not relying on a subject that's the equivalent of watching paint dry.
