Although vapes can support adults to stop smoking, their visibility in supermarkets has increased dramatically and is contributing to rising youth experimentation. Placing vapes behind the counter would reduce incidental exposure, limit impulse interest among young people, and align with public health goals to prevent youth uptake. Similar measures already exist for tobacco and are supported by parents, schools and health professionals.

Why was this petition rejected?
