Rejected petition Close colleges and give students Centre Assessed Grades
This is in place of the confusing and unfair current grading idea. Students have been messed around enough from having to continually isolate and be in lockdowns. How can students be expected to perform at the same level as students have in previous years?

In colleges, especially in mine, there are 'bubble' classes but no effective social distancing. We have ineffective track and trace where members of staff come into the classroom halfway through the day asking students to go home and self-isolate meanwhile all 20 other students have to stay knowing that this person could potentially have it. How is that sensible or safe?
With this new COVID strain, we are at even more of a risk than before. The government talked about locking down and closing the schools sooner so why not do it now before we are in the same or even worse place than last year?
Why was this petition rejected?
There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
